Busted

I. Got. Busted. There is just no other word for it. I was just aiming for a quick in and out at the office to retreive my blankets, etc. because I'll be sleeping over at the Company Lounge. In my haste, it completely slipped my mind that I had my bag with me and in it is my cellphone. Sheesh, talk about stupidity. I have always abided their strict policies and all that jazz about phones and shit to the letter (although of course I'm stretching the truth quite a bit on that, too...), but this one time that I really had no intention of breaking it, I got caught. Talk about starting a brand new day badly. >_< I was already out of the Operations Floor and was on my Locker door when the guard asked to checked my bag. "For inspection lang, ma'am," is what he said. Well, contrary to popular belief, I had no contraband in my person usually. But then again I just noticed my bag and with that realization came the epiphany: I have my bag with me and I have my phone inside my bag. Damn. Of course the guard saw it and then I had to sign up an Incident report or something like that to "reclaim" my phone. It made me look the fool, too for I had to stay there for little over an hour just to straighten things out. Moral Lesson: Murphy's Law dictates that "To err is human, to forgive is not company policy." Ergo, if you're eventually gonna get caught, then give them a reason to do so and enjoy it. Capisce? Didn't think so.
