We're going to graduate on friday, Noverber 03 of this year and it was agreed upon that in the spirit of Holloween, we will all wear costumes!
Now, a team/class full of Managers and supervisors do not normally want to "dress up" and somehow (for want of a better word) embarrass themselves, myself included. So, we've decided to vote on our theme which is how disagreements are usually settled especially when we've too many opinions floating around. (hehe!) First we suggested several themes (Cross-Dressing, Gothic, Glam Rock, Movies, etc) and narrowed it down to one. Heheh, It was a very close call between Cross-Dressing and Glam Rock. But the Guys (obviously!) did not want to wear, um, skirts n_n;; so they all raised their hands to go with the Glam Rock theme.
Nyaha! They were all like (ina sing-song voice), "Hey guys, if you don't want to wear the damned skirts you'd better raise your hands."
So next week, we'll be wearing Glam Rock costumes. It'll be FUN!!! ^__^
October 2006 Archives
It's been 2 weeks and 3 days since I started work at Dell. And I must say it's been a very, very pleasant surprise. The people are very light-hearted and kind. Especially those from the L&D team. (Kudos!) But I must say, though, that I am a bit disappointed in the training department's way of handling their "students" and their misdemeanors. At some point I do understand that since we are the pioneer batch there will definitely be trials and errors and that we will be like guinea pigs to try them on. Personally, I don't have a problem with that. I probably expected too much of them; expected them to be more transparent than what they've shown us.
In any case, we (my batchmates nd I) have decided to just let it go and show them (training dept) what we're made of. From then on, we've shown them what we're made of and we've been on top ever since.
